This past week we’ve been considering the marketing budget for our game development project here in Australia. It seems we’ll definitely have enough to get some very cool, viral-style professional promos done for it.
Will and I are excited to be sending our ideas on to video production sydney and see what kind of brilliant, creative twist they put on it. Some people might be asking, “Do games really need live action viral promos?” Well, personally I think absolutely any subject matter can benefit from creating a buzz. Even some of the biggest game developers on the planet have been using tease videos that get people talking.
Our hope is that this kind of marketing expands our market reach. You have to consider that there’s a hardcore group of people that are waiting to play your game, but there’s a whole world of people that don’t know about it. With marketing the goal is to make some noise for the whole world to see you.
Before you even decide whether you like a 32 inch TV or something higher, you should check your budget first. Determine how much money you are willing to splurge on a brand new television. Once you already have the budget, then you can go ahead and start looking for a television that you can put in your room. To look for a television that is fit to your budget, you can either check online or visit an appliance store. Checking prices and televisions online is much better compared to going from store to store because your only purpose is to look for a TV model that you can afford. “Window-shopping” online is very convenient because you have access to every available TV out there. You can view them all while just sitting in front of your computer. The only time you should go to an actual store is when you already found a model that you like.
It was a boring weekend when my cousin, Cherry, invited me to watch bbc iplayer abroad at her house. I didn’t have any idea what an Iplayer is that I asked her if it’s a new gadget made by Apple. She laughed at me and told me how behind I am when it comes to the latest techy stuff. On the way to her house, she explained to me what the Iplayer does. From what I’ve gathered, the person who has this program can watch shows from other countries on the internet. The program also masks your true IP address because these particular shows are exclusively shown in their own home country. At her house, she demonstrated to me how the program works. She knew how I liked watching Australian shows so she let me watch all the Australian TV shows that are available on her Iplayer. I asked her how I can get one for my laptop. She told me that I just need to register over the internet and pay a minimum fee for the subscription.
